Young Nation prende il titolo dall’omonima canzone di Aaliyah del 1994 e nasce dall’incontro con sei giovani ragazze: Nuny, Nada, Sina, Vic, Paloma e Matilde. Attraverso le loro storie, il progetto esplora identità che si costruiscono nell’intreccio tra origini culturali, passioni, relazioni e desideri personali.
Le loro esperienze superano le rappresentazioni stereotipate legate alla provenienza, restituendo la complessità di percorsi individuali in continua trasformazione.
Young Nation è un esercizio di prospettiva. Un invito a guardare oltre l’origine come unica chiave di lettura, senza però ignorarne il valore, e oltre l’identità come qualcosa di fisso e immutabile.

Young nation takes its title from aaliyah’s 1994 song of the same name and emerges from the encounter with six young women: nuny, nada, sina, vic, paloma and matilde. through their stories, the project explores identities shaped by the interplay of cultural backgrounds, passions, relationships and personal desires.
Their experiences go beyond stereotypical representations tied to origin, revealing the complexity of individual journeys in constant transformation.
Young nation is an exercise in perspective. an invitation to look beyond origin as the sole lens through which to understand someone, without disregarding its significance, and to move beyond the idea of identity as something fixed and unchanging.
